The Sioux Falls Regional Airport is undergoing a major terminal expansion – its most significant transformation since the original 1968 facility. As record passenger growth pushes regional air travel forward, the Airport Authority is investing in a next-generation concourse designed for comfort, efficiency, and long-term resilience.
Led by Mead & Hunt and CO-OP Architecture, the 70,000-square-foot expansion adds five new gates with modern passenger boarding bridges, enlarged hold rooms, and expanded concessions to elevate the traveler experience. New family-oriented and accessibility-focused amenities reflect a people-first approach to regional aviation.
